Charming and characteristic, original stone farmhouse located in a private, tranquil and natural setting made of gentle hills dotted with olive groves and ancient canyons. The house is currently divided into 2 self-contained units, comprising the following rooms:
- the upper floor apartment, accessible from a cotto-tiled external staircase, has got a loggia, an entrance/hallway, a large, south-facing double bedroom, a single bedroom with Juliet balcony, a lounge with woodstove, kitchenette and toilet;
- the downstairs apartment is made of a beautiful, massive and rustic tavern with woodstove, built-in kitchen and French-doors leading onto the paved courtyard; on this level we also find a bathroom, a double bedroom, a small storage space and a hallway.
This detached cottage has lovely views over towards the valley, the “calanchi” (local geological formations), hill-top villages (with a bit of a sea view on clearer days from the first floor) and is accessible from a well-maintained gravel road. The property includes a massive barn and an above-ground pool. There is about 1,000 sqm of garden coming with the house which hosts grass, meadow and fruit trees, but there is the possibility to buy extra land off the neighbour if desired. Internet is available via a fast WiFi connection.
Although the house is about 7 minutes out of the town centre, there is a supermarket very close by at about 1 km and another one within 3 kilometers. The hamlet also provides other shops and amenities like greengrocers, laundry, coffee shops, restaurants, petrol stations, pharmacy, hairdresser etc. The property is at about 35 km from the International Airport of Pescara and about 25 km from the Adriatic sea. The Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park can be reached in about 1 hour – 45 km away – and offers a wide range of walking and hiking trails and ski facilities.
