SILVI ALTA/SILVI PAESE - TERAMO PROVINCE
Silvi Alta is set on a spur overlooking the beautiful Adriatic coast. It is the highest town in the area, at 250 metres above sea level, and therefore affords the most stunning views. The town is about a ten-minute drive from the marina area and provides a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of the seaside.
Silvi Alta has a medieval centre and was originally a military outpost to protect the coast from invasion. A network of fascinating streets and lanes radiate from the nucleus.
There are several summer events including the Castelbelfiore Arts and Crafts show which takes place in mid July.
All facilities are a very short distance away in Silvi Marina although Silvi Alta does have restaurants and a post office.
