Plunged in an idyllic atmosphere, surrounded by gently rolling hills and naturally bordered by the Swamp River, the Casale Valle Rosa del Cigno is more than a typical country residence. it is a truly beautiful place.
A tree-lined path gives access to the entrance of this oasis of privacy and tranquillity where the structures of the property are located in a typical harmonious rural plan with a common gravel courtyard and flower-beds.
The Casale is composed of a large villa on 2 levels, covering approximately 250 sq.metres. A few steps steps away is a one storey outbuilding with an additional 100 sq.metres. There are restored silos (wheat storage) and an old stone watermill dating back to the 19th Century. Moreover there is a newly built and well refined storehouse wuth a surface area of 150 sq. metres with two large covered porches.
The buildings are embraced by 2 hectares of private land of flat areas surrounded by lush river vegetation.
The ground floor hosts the day area and is composed of a large living-room with fireplace overlooking the portico and the garden, a dining area connected to the kitchen, a pantry room and a toilet. The staircase that leads us to the night area is trully a masterpiece of craftsmanship. Upstairs there are 5 large bedrooms 4 of which have en-suite bathrooms and a storage room.
The Guests house:
This nice one storey house is equipped with all comforts, including a living room with kitchen, a lovely veranda, 3 bedrooms (2 double and 1 single) and 2 bathrooms.
This property is the result of a diligent and meticulous work of reconstruction to regain the lost character of this home. A sympathetic attention to every single detail in recovering this unique traditional dwelling is really impressive. The mill is set on two levels, each one with an independent access. On the ground-floor, there is a large open space with a nice country kitchen, dining room and wine cellar, two doors link this space to the large patio/barbecue area. While, on the first floor, there is a second smaller kitchen, living room with open fireplace, 2 bedrooms (sleeping up to 6 people) and 2 bathrooms.
The owner's passion can be appreciated in the conversion of this rural building into a lovely petit library and workshop. A gem!
The beauty of this property seems perfectly tuned with the surrounding vegetation and the outdoor area that is equipped also with a medium size above-ground pool. Casale Valle Rosa del Cigno is a charming dwelling and a perfect setting for those wishing to lead a country lifestyle, without being too isolated or having to relinquish the comforts and the services offered by a nearby town.
The spacious living accommodation allows for greater flexibility of use. The villa or the dependance would be an ideal main residence with the possibility to use the extra rooms for guests, or for short lets.
Despite being located in open countryside, the property is easy to reach and is just 5 kilometres away form the closest town of Alanno. Moreover main communication roads, such as the motorway, are just 10/15 minutes by car.
