A country house located a few miles from the historical centre of Penne. Built in the mid-70s, it is surrounded by 4,500 sqm of land, on which there is a brick barn of about 125 sqm.
The house is on 2 levels, and accommodation currently includes:
Ground floor - Garage, 2 cellars and a barn, originally used as an animal shelter, for a total of 130 sqm.
First floor - accessed from a comfortable, external staircase, there is a kitchen with fireplace, back kitchen, large living room, 3 bedrooms, with a perimeter balcony of 42 sqm and bathroom.
There are wonderful views of the Gran Sasso and surrounding countryside.
The house is in good condition but needs modernisation work and general maintenance. It is in a good location and can be enjoyed all year round. Once works are complete there would be the potential to operate a B&B.
PENNE - PESCARA PROVINCE
Penne is a beautiful hilltop town which is popular with both overseas home buyers and visitors to Abruzzo. It has shops, banks, restaurants, cafés and bars as well as historical buildings. As you stroll around the town you will see fascinating lanes, characterised by ancient houses and churches, almost entirely made of bricks. This makes Penne one of the most historically significant towns of the area. It also affords breath-taking views to the mountains.
August is festival time in Penne when the streets are filled with stalls selling arts, crafts and culinary delights. Not to be missed.
