The town arose in the 15th Century and was once dominated by an imposing castle, of which now only a few traces remain. The old historic centre has small, cobbled streets which are fascinating to stroll around and be transported back to older times.
The 1,309 residents can visit supermarkets, butcher, baker, bank, gym, pizzerias, restaurants and bars. There is a weekly market selling local produce that is held each Tuesday morning.
