Roccasicura is a town with much history that dates to the 4th century B.C. It is situated on the edge of a rocky ridge overlooking a rolling landscape, carved by deep valleys among the Matese and Mainarde mountains. The territory is very impressive and surrounded by dense vegetation. It is rich in streams and springs and is crossed by a famous cattle track.
Research has confirmed that early last century, this fortified town had a large castle equipped with dungeons, but unfortunately very little survives of the structure today.
Roccasicura has a few bars and a restaurant/pizzeria where it is possible to relax and meet the locals.
