Ofena is 501 metres above sea level and is found in the Gran Sasso e Monti della Laga National Park. It is surrounded by lush, vineyards and olive trees and is a great place for wineries and oil makers.
The town is a fortified Medieval village which still has some of its ancient walls. Its historical centre has narrow cobbled alleys, ancient palaces, beautiful arches and houses which are built among the rocks. Strolling through the streets it is possible to experience Ofena’s rich and varied past.
