Gagliano is a beautiful medieval village nestled in the mountains of the National Park of Abruzzo. It is 633 metres above sea level and has a population of 251. There is a castle that overlooks the town which in turn overlooks the valley to Subequana. The air here is clean and pure and life in the village offers a taste of life in Italy as it was. There are a few bed and breakfasts in the village area, as well as a bar/restaurant. There are many nature trails and Gagliano even has a Bear Museum!
