There are many 18-19th century civic buildings and churches, constructed and characterised with ‘pietra di Manoppello’, the renowned local stone. The town is probably most famous for its Holy Relic, a piece of cloth which supposedly bears an image of Christ’s face. It is kept in the Santuario del Volto Santo.
